Great things are happening at LMS! It’s banned book week in the LMS Library! Mr. Contreras taught students about books that have been banned from libraries and the reasoning behind it. Students worked together in groups to compose their very own lists of banned books.

Great things are happening at Lamesa ISD! Ms. CJae Rodriguez’s class played a friends of 10 game! One partner breaks the cubes, makes two friends of 10, and hides it behind their back. The other partner guesses which friends of 10 their partner is hiding. They check it and write the correct friends of 10 on their whiteboard!

Congratulations to Tor Tennis as they defeated Seminole 12-7 in our 3rd district match! We are now 2-1 in district and 7-2 for the season. Our next match is Saturday here at 10:00 AM against Brownfield!

Lamesa ISD will wear maroon on Tuesday to show our support for Uvalde CISD on their first day of school. We will also wear purple and gold on Thursday to show our support to Dalhart CISD and the family of Yahir Cancino! Our prayers and support go out to both school districts and communities!
Great things are happening at Lamesa High School! Coach Doederlein’s and Ms. Spencer’s Engineering & Honors Physics classes started the year off with a spaghetti tower challenge. All students worked hard and we are already seeing so much creative ingenuity from these teams.
