Congratulations to Tor Tennis as they competed in the San Angelo Lakeview Varsity Tennis Tournament today. Ireland Adams won the girls singles consolation prize. Jesus Murillo and Orlando Quintanilla placed 4th in boys doubles. Good job to all the tennis players. Next tournament is the Kingdom Prep Varsity Tournament in Lubbock at Texas Tech on Saturday.

Lamesa Independent School District is excited to announce the addition of Efrain Ramos as our new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.
Efrain comes to Lamesa from Anna ISD where he served as the defensive coordinator for the 15-1 4A Division 1 State Champions of 2023. He also served as Boy’s Athletic Coordinator.
Coach Ramos moved to Anna in 2021. Prior to that he served as both offensive and defensive Coordinator at Lubbock Coronado High School between the years of 2016 and 2020. Before his move to Lubbock, he was the offensive coordinator and head boy’s track and field coach at Amarillo Caprock in Amarillo ISD.
Efrain grew up in Plainview. He has had the privilege of both playing under and working alongside a great coaching family in the Parr family. Coach Ramos is going to bring an exciting brand of football to Lamesa, Texas, as well as continue the great overall leadership for our entire athletic program.
We are beyond excited to welcome Efrain, alongside his wife Melissa and children, Renee, Zoey, and Daniel to the Golden Tornado Family!
