Mr. Downer's 5th grade GT students spent several weeks on a “Toys That Matter” unit, focusing on the properties of matter and incorporating those properties into toys they either created or improved upon. They also learned about toy design and advertising, creating ads and sales pitches for their toys. Today they presented their prototypes to each other and had a lot of fun learning about and playing with each other’s toys. #GrowTogether
