LHS ignited the regional HSBBQ competition on April 5th and 6th, hosting over 10 schools and 20 teams vying for state spots. With 3 powerhouse teams, including previous qualifiers Lamesa Smoke Squad and The Rolling Smokes, LHS represented with flair. Freshman sensations, The Smokin Tors, secured their state ticket at the regional showdown, setting the stage for the state competition on May 4th at Dell Diamond Stadium in Round Rock, TX! #GrowTogether

Mr. Downer's 5th grade GT students spent several weeks on a “Toys That Matter” unit, focusing on the properties of matter and incorporating those properties into toys they either created or improved upon. They also learned about toy design and advertising, creating ads and sales pitches for their toys. Today they presented their prototypes to each other and had a lot of fun learning about and playing with each other’s toys. #GrowTogether
