Lamesa ISD will start school at 10:00AM on Wednesday, February 5th. Buses will run on pavement only. LISD Administration will re-evaluate the situation after the National Weather Services releases evening models for snowfall.

Due to expected inclement weather conditions tomorrow, Tuesday, February 4th, Boys and Girls, Freshman and JV basketball games vs Hereford have been cancelled. Varsity Girls will play at 5:00PM and Varsity Boys will play at 6:30PM at O.W. Follis Gymnasium.

Great things are happening at Lamesa ISD! Mrs. Barron’s, Mrs. Benitez’s, and Mrs. Chavez’s 4th grade classes did a 100 Days Of School STAAR Question Cup Tower challenge! We had to answer STAAR questions in math, writing and reading in order to build a tower of 100 cups!

Thank you Plains All-American Truckers Linda Long and Donnie Vasquez for donating jackets for students who might need some extra warmth this winter! Forging amazing community partners is where success grows!

It’s a wild, fun ride at South Elementary! Mrs. Peacock and Mrs. Gibson make science so fun as students build rollercoasters in class.
