Lamesa ISD Clear Bag Policy

For All Athletic Events

To ensure the safety of all students, staff, and community members, Lamesa ISD will implement a Clear Bag Policy at all athletic events effective immediately. This policy is designed to promote a safe environment and expedite entry into venues while still allowing guests to bring necessary items.

Permitted Bags

• Clear bags made of plastic, vinyl, or PVC that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”

• Small clutch bags or wallets (approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle/strap, not exceeding 4.5” x 6.5”)

• Items necessary for medical purposes or childcare (diaper bags, medical equipment) will be permitted upon inspection.

Prohibited Bags and Items

• Backpacks, purses, and handbags larger than 4.5” x 6.5”

• Tinted or patterned plastic bags

• Fanny packs, cinch bags, camera cases, and briefcases

• Coolers or insulated bags of any size

• Luggage of any kind

Prohibited Items

To maintain a safe environment, the following items are strictly prohibited inside LISD athletic facilities:

• Weapons of any kind (including knives, firearms, or objects resembling weapons)

• Alcohol, tobacco, vaping devices, or illegal substances

• Outside food 

• Aerosol cans, spray bottles, or noisemakers (air horns, whistles, sirens)

• Signs or banners larger than poster board size, or attached to poles/sticks

• Laser pointers or flashlights

• Pets or animals (except approved service animals)

• Any item deemed unsafe or disruptive by security or administration

Entry Procedures

• All bags are subject to search upon entry.

• Guests without an approved clear bag will not be permitted to enter.

• Lamesa ISD reserves the right to deny entry or remove individuals who do not comply with this policy.
